FEATURES

  • Quartz high-pressure mercury-discharge tube in series with a tungsten filament which acts both as incandescent light source and current-limiting device
  • Combines high luminous flux and good colour rendering
  • Combines a continuous spectrum from the incandescent source and a line spectrum from the high-pressure mercury source

Non-dimmable

Burning position base-up or base-down +/- 30 (ML 100W and 160 W); universal permissible, but vertical +/- 45 recommended, especially if undervoltage expected (ML 250 W and 500 W)

Description

Single-ended metal halide lamps consisting of a quartz discharge tube containing high-pressure mercury and a mixture of metal halides in a hard-glass outer envelope

FEATURES

  • Clear tubular outer bulb
  • High luminous efficacy, both initially and over lifetime
  • Colour point on the black body locus gives a natural white colour appearance
  • Burning position horizontal +/- 20 should be observed to minimise the colour differences between lamps which are inherent in metal halide technology
